- Spiritual Adoption
-
Please join us the weekend signing up for spiritual adoption. What is spiritual adoption?
When Roe s. Wade was passed in 1973, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen encouraged the spiritual adoption of an unborn child. This is done by choosing one particular but unknown child and praying that the baby’s life be spared abortion and he or she be allowed to continue to live.
We recommend praying the following prayer daily for a period of nine months.
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of [baby’s name] the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”
- Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. SheenYour prayers can make a difference between whether a baby will be born or aborted. Your prayers can be a form of spiritual support for both of the parents.

- 40 Days for Life Signup and Mass
-
From Ash Wednesday (February 14th) to Palm Sunday (March 24th) at the Shrewsbury Planned Parenthood, our community once again will be one of many from coast to coast joining together for the 40 Days for Life campaign. 40 Days for Life is an intensive effort designed to raise awareness, save lives, bring healing, and lead our nation to repentance for the sin of abortion. We pray that, with God's help, this will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our area and beyond.
